City Transit Commercial

Here is a city transit commercial we created for the San Joaquin Regional Transit District. the San Joaquin Regional Transit District is also known as RTD. This city transit commercial was needed is to highlight its new busses. They also wanted to inform the viewers about their services. Right of the bat the RTD marketing team can in with ideas. The first was to make the commercial look like an automotive awards show. They also wanted to make sure we employees and staffers. The RTD mascot most definitely needed to be featured. There was one other final element. We needed to show their busses rolling through city landmarks. It might seem like a lot to ask for but for us, it was a piece of cake. To start we had to brainstorm and develop the scripts. We need to make a 60-second video and a 30-second video. Creating the 30-second video was easy because it is just a cut down version of the longer spot. The next part of our pre-production was the location scouting. This was a be part of planning the shoot. This made our job a whole lot easier. On the day of the shoot, it was a breeze. Joel Forrest was directing. When Justin McAleece wasn’t filling in as an extra, he was behind the camera. Our weapon of choice was the Red Epic Dragon. Ian McAleece was gaffing. He also helped with the camera when needed. Vince Cosentino was gripping and helping with audio. Joel Forrest and Vince Cosentino started the edit. Jason Wada dropped in the motion graphics and put on the final polish.
