Feature Comedy Film

Get ready to embark on a hilarious adventure with The Thin Line, a feature comedy that artfully blends the comedic elements reminiscent of classics like Superbad and Road Trip, with the heart and wit you’d expect from a Judd Apatow project. Directed, written, and produced by the visionary Neil Thompson. The Feature Comedy was astoundingly shot in Whitefish, Montana.  It only to 3 weeks to shoot. It showcases the incredible efficiency and creativity of Thompson and the talented team at BLARE Films. Justin and Ian McAleece were the co-cinematographers and we used our Red Epic Dragon camera to capture the visuals.

An aimless beauty looks to break her cycle of dating bad men by going after one she can’t stand in the first place. The plot, both sidesplitting and meaningful, captivates audiences with its seamless delivery of humor and sincerity.

After the film we left the beautiful Montana. However, we added a few crew member to our roster. Like Dusty Jones who is great behind the camera and services the Montana area for us.

Producing a feature comedy is an exciting journey of combining creativity, teamwork, and technical expertise. At the heart of a successful comedic film is a sharp, witty script and dynamic elements like relatable characters and humorous timing that resonate with the audience. However, it’s not just about what happens in front of the camera. Behind the scenes, a well-coordinated team, similar to that of Blare Films, plays a crucial role. The crew meticulously captures the nuanced humor, ensuring each scene is both visually and emotionally engaging.

Incorporating key talent is another essential aspect. With a mix of seasoned actors and rising local stars, such as those from outside Hollywood, the comedic narrative gains authenticity and depth. The cinematography, powered by state-of-the-art equipment such as the Red Epic Dragon, further enhances the film’s quality. It allows for flexibility in capturing spontaneous, memorable moments — crucial in comedy.

Furthermore, a clear vision from a dedicated writer-director-producer, like Neil Thompson, guides the production to navigate the complexities of comedic storytelling. It’s this blend of expertise, preparation, and adaptability that transforms a comedic concept into a feature that entertains and delights viewers. Thus, every aspect, from pre-production planning to on-set execution, contributes significantly to the film’s success.
