NorCal Rap Video

NorCal rap music has a distinct sound. It has made in imprint on the rap and hip hop landscape. Many rap and hip hop pioneers have come from NorCal (Northern California) and the Bay Area (San Fransisco Bay Area). So we were ecstatic to work on this music video production. The artist was Prince Damons. The music video and song featured E-40 and Too Short. Both of them are from the Bay Area. Too Short is from East Oakland E40 is from V Town or better know as Vallejo. We were brought along to this project by Christian Strickland. He was also the credited director on the shoot. From Blare Films was Greg Amaro. He was the director of Photography. We brought out our Red One ultra HD camera and lighting gear.  We also brought in our grip and a production assistant.  Most of the video was shot in in Oakland, CA. We also headed out to Pleasanton to grab some shots. That is where we met up with E40. We did all the editing on Final Cut Pro and used  Adobe After Effects for some of the graphics. This was before we switch over to Premiere Pro. Our crew did a great job battling the low light and some of the run and gun nature of the shoot. In all another great music video production by our team.
