This whiteboard commercial was produced for a solar power company that lease solar panels in Arizona, Nevada and California. The company is Smart Energy Solar. This video is also co branded with Sunrun. We needed to create different version for some of the companies since every state is a little different. However, the underline theme stayed the same. The people in power (double play on words) what you to stay on their power. That is plugged into their electrical grid. Here we provide a solution to get off that power and get off some of the tiers that change how much you pay per kilowatt. Doug Morris did the creative for this. After coming up with a rough sketch and concept he created the storyboard. Once that was sign off we moved forward with production. That meant that would would film Doug drawing everything out on a whiteboard. We used lighting and our Red 6k UHD Camera to capture the footage. After that was captured we recorded a voice over. Then our post-production team started working on the edit. That means they had to line the time of the art with the voice over. They also dropped in some 2D graphics to enhance the video. After it was competed we had a great and fun video.
