Tempe Beach Park
Tempe Beach Park is located along the Tempe Town Lake. You can even say both are interchangeable. People may say one or the other. It is a scenic place that host many events like the Inning Festival and their own October Fest. In addition to hosting events it has many attractions. You can dock a small boat. Bring you kayak, row boat or rent a paddle boat. It has plenty of room for kids to run around. It also has a splash pad. It is used regularly by the ASU row team. There are bike trails that start at the beach. And there is so much more.
The park actually sits onlong the Rio Verde. It was buit in 1931 but in 1999 they create the artifical lake by damming it up completely. It is just down the street from the Mill Street Tempe downtown area. Arizona Univeristy is also right around thew corner. Since the building of the lake commercial contruction has expoloaded. If you didn’t know better you would think you are in a coastal city.
For filmmakers and photographers it offer tons of potential shots. Great for time-lapses as well.
